Veterinarian

Safe Haven is growing and has ample opportunities to add two veterinarians to our rock star team. Our wonderful, loyal clients, modern equipment, terrific staff and spacious facility will give you the experience and opportunity to thrive and grow. At this time, both full-time and/or part-time positions are being considered.

Are you seeking a hospital where the staff are loyal and knowledgeable and will support your career? The Safe Haven staff is educated, trained and experienced, giving you the best possible support so that you can practice at your best. Our Hospital Manager has a BS in Veterinary Technology and has been with us for 20 years. Our Technician Supervisor and Lead Receptionist have been building relationships and caring for clients and patients for over 15 years each. Our Associate DVM has been practicing at Safe Haven for over 10 years.

We recently celebrated 25 years of serving pets in Palm Coast and have enjoyed 16 years in our spacious, well-kept facility where we can easily support 4 or more full-time veterinarians. We are the only AAHA accredited hospital in Flagler county and one of only 6 in the tri-county area. While we are primarily a companion animal hospital, additional training in exotics and/or avian medicine would be a plus. Salary and a broad-ranging benefit package can be tailored for either type of position as desired. Buy-in and eventual buy-out possibilities do exist for the right person(s).

Veterinary Technician/Assistant

We are looking for a compassionate, experienced, self-motivated, and knowledgeable Veterinary Assistant to add to our seasoned team!

Qualifications:

Candidates must minimally have 1 year of experience, with a high degree of organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

Primary duties will include:

• Assisting Technicians and Doctors.
• Restocking supplies.
• Professionally communicating with clients.
• Monitoring patients post-surgery.
• Restraining patients.
• Venipuncture.
• Help with emergency first aid.
• Administer medication and immunizations.
• Collect blood, urine, and tissue samples for lab tests.
• Functional knowledge of Avimark software is a plus.

Receptionist

We’re looking to expand our team with an organized, self-starter who is eager to provide the highest quality of care to patients and clients, with an opportunity for career growth. Compassionate care is our top priority, we ask that it is yours as well.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• 5 years of veterinary reception experience is required.
• Familiarity with Avimark is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Answering multi-line phones.
• Checking clients and patients in.
• Patient chart creation and management.
• Client care.
• Liaison between the clinical staff and clients.
• Selling food, medications, and other products.
• Processing client charges and payments.
• Obtaining patient medical history.
